John Gay - Founder / Managing Director
Founder of Coolair Services Ltd started in the Refrigeration Industry back in 1960. Later in 1972 he progressed into the up and coming field of Air Conditioning.
Combining his knowledge and experience he passed through the ranks before Setpoint22 Limited was established in 1997 to build the foundations of the business we are today.

Andy Smith
UK Operations Director
Andy has done it all in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration! Starting work in refrigeration in 1978, he worked as an Air Conditioning Installation Engineer before joining Setpoint22 in 2000 as a Service Engineer. In 2001 he moved into the office running & co-ordinating the diary for all Northern engineers. A promotion to Operations Manager followed before being appointed Operations Director in 2015. With over 45 years experience in the industry, across all areas, there is really no-one more qualified to give you honest and accurate advice for all Air Conditioning matters!
Away from work Andy enjoys fell walking & gardening.
Ian Wilson
Operations Director (Northern)
Ian started working in refrigeration in 1993 and joined Setpoint22 in 2001 as a service engineer. He became engineering supervisor before moving into the office in 2014 as Operations Manager to run the Northern engineers, scheduling all works and providing technical support. Ian was promoted to Northern Operations Director in 2020.
Outside of work Ian is a keen football fan and spends most weekends supporting and helping out at his son's matches.
Hayley Smith
Systems Administration Director
Hayley joined Setpoint22 in 2002 as admin support in the maintenance dept. By 2006 Hayley was in charge of looking after all maintenance contracts for the Northern Region as well as being our point of contact for IT & system support. In 2020 Hayley was appointed Service Administration Director, overseeing all systems & processes used by all employees to allow smooth operation throughout the company, also ensuring we remain compliant to our ISO9001 & ISO45001 accreditations.
In her spare time Hayley enjoys going to the Theatre and spending time with friends and family.
Nikki Perry
Financial Director
Nikki joined Setpoint22 in 2000 as office junior in the Accounts Dept. She was quickly given the Purchase Ledger role, before also taking on responsibility for Sales Invoicing and Wages in 2003. In 2016 Nikki was promoted to Accounts Manager and was made Financial Director in 2020.
Outside of work Nikki loves to travel and visit new places.
Scott Lighfoot
Sales Director
Scott started his career in the Air Conditioning industry in 1990 as an Engineer before moving into the office as a Contracts Engineer in 1997. In 2002 he progressed to Sales Manager developing his client base to include customers he still works closely with today. Scott joined Setpoint22 in 2021 heading up the expansion of our Sales Dept, which has exceeded all expectations.
At weekends Scott can be found coaching youth football & playing golf.
Phil Dickinson
Sales Director
Phil’s first role in the Air Conditioning Industry was as CAD Engineer in 2000. Demonstrating a talent for sales his role developed into Contracts Engineer by 2005 before making the jump to Sales Manager in 2015. Bringing his extensive knowledge and experience, Phil joined Setpoint22 along with Scott in 2021 to push the development of our Sales Department.
In his spare time Phil regularly participates in Ironman competitions and Triathlons all over the UK and Europe.
Service Support
Jenny Mason
Service Co-Ordinator
Jenny joined Setpoint22 in 2015 as Service Co-Ordinator. During that time she has been a steady influence organising the move to our current office in Maidstone and supporting Gavin in his move from Installation to Service, all whilst keeping the day to day side ticking over. She is the main point of contact for all queries in the Southern Region, helping arrange service calls and all things maintenance related.
Luke Jubb
Service Support Engineer
Luke joined Setpoint22 in 2018 as a Senior Installation Engineer. In 2021 he moved over to the Service Dept to develop his technical skills and in 2024 came into the office to work alongside Ian as Service Support Engineer.
Clare Wilson
Service Admin Assistant
Clare is the newest addition to the Service team. She joined us at the beginning of 2024 as Service Admin Assistant working alongside Hayley making sure paperwork is processed on time and our system is accurate and up to date.
Gavin Smith
Service Manager (Southern)
Gavin joined us in 2018 as Southern Service Manager. He came from an Installation background, starting as an engineer then moving into the office as Contracts Engineer. Gavin made the transition to Service seamlessly and has led his team to achieve continuous growth, showing no signs of slowing down. With his wealth of experience he has insight into all areas of the Air Conditioning Industry making him perfectly placed to offer the best advice and solution for any Air Conditioning query.

Mike Billings
Sales Manager
Mike’s first role in the Air Conditioning Industry was as Sales Manager in 1996. He spent the following years developing and growing his client base before joining Setpoint22 in 2018. With him he brought his wealth of knowledge to help establish our dedicated Sales Department before being joined by Scott & Phil 3 years later.
Matthew Davenport
Sales Manager
Matthew joined Setpoint22 in 2021 as Contracts Manager assisting Sales Managers in the smooth running of their jobs. He has since gained a number of customers in his own right and in 2024 takes the next step and becomes Sales Manager himself.
Ben Marland
Contracts Manager
Ben arrived in 2021 along with Matthew to work alongside the Sales Managers as Contracts Manager, helping them to deliver projects efficiently and on time.

Sue Hallworth
Contracts Co-Ordinator
Sue is the cornerstone for the Sales Department! She joined us in 2021 as an experienced Contracts Co-Ordinator making sure all the admin is organised and completed on time.
Leanne Todd
Contracts Co-Ordinator
Leanne joined us to assist Sue with Contracts Admin in 2021. She has gained valuable knowledge and now assists in the Co-Ordination as well as making sure all the engineers are paid on time!
Matt Dunn
Junior Contracts Engineer
Matt is our newest member of the Sales Team, arriving in 2022. Matt looks after our CAD and is currently at College completing his Level 3 BTEC in Building Services. He is also working alongside Phil & Ben learning project management on a practical level.
Michaela Chambers - Accounts Receivable / Payroll
Michaela joined Setpoint22 in 2021 as Accounts Assistant. Initially as first point of contact for Purchase Ledger and Credit Control, Michaela has a good understanding of all areas of the Accounts Dept. Following the expansion of the Sales Dept she now focuses on Sales Ledger & Credit Control as well as Payroll.
Becky Brook - Accounts Payable
Becky joined Setpoint22 in 2022 for her first Accounts role as Accounts Admin to assist Nikki & Michaela with the day to day tasks. She proved herself to be a natural and after spending 2023 as Trainee, Becky now looks after our Purchase Ledger.
